It’s an incredible achievement that takes outstanding talent and approach, and it’s always interesting to see who holds this incredible record. 10. Chris Gayle: 17 Balls ( RCB vs PWI in IPL 2013 )

West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle has been a key presence in the IPL. Gayle has been popular with fans and an effective run-scorer in the league for various IPL franchises, including Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kings XI Punjab. Gayle is known for his powerful batting and ability to knock big sixes. Chris Gaylel’s tenth IPL Fastest 50 came in just 17 balls, with six fours and four sixes, and he also set the record for the highest individual score in IPL and T20 Cricket history.

On April 23, 2013, RCB played PWI at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. On that day, Pune Warriors decided to field first, allowing RCB to bat first. Chris Gayle made an unbelievable performance that evening, coming up as a Bangalore opening batsman and scoring the Highest Individual Score of 175 runs off 66 balls, including 13 fours while 17 sixes, and also assisting RCB in setting a record for the highest IPL Team Score in IPL history (263/5). Chris Gayle was awarded Player of the Match for his exceptional performance in RCB’s 130-run victory over PWI. 

9. AC Gilchrist: 17 Balls ( DC vs DD in IPL 2009 )

Adam Gilchrist is one of the most legendary personalities in cricket history. He is known for his powerful, fearless hitting and ability to dominate bowlers in Powerplay overs, as well as providing his team with blasting starts while opening the batting. Adam Gilchrist is the ninth player on this list to hit the IPL Fastest 50 in just 17 balls, with eight fours and two sixes. 

DC vs DD On 22 May 2009, Team Deccan Chargers was chasing a total of 154 runs at Centurion’s SuperSport Park. A Gilchrist batted aggressively to begin the innings, indicating his remarkable hitting power to score 85 runs in 35 balls, including 10 boundaries and 5 sixes. In the end, DC defeated DD by 6 wickets, and  Adam Gilchrist was awarded Player of the Match for his excellent diligence.

8. Ishan Kishan: 16 Balls ( MI vs SRH in IPL 2021 )

Ishan Kishan is well-known for his explosive batting skills. He can score quick runs and execute under pressure, as well as a wide range of shots in his collection, making him one of the top-rated players in the IPL. Ishan Kishan became the eighth player to score an IPL Fastest 50 in 16 balls, with 8 fours and 2 sixes.

7. Suresh Raina: 16 Balls ( CSK vs KXIP in IPL 2014 )

Suresh Raina has earned the nickname of “MR IPL” for his continuous achievements in the Indian Premier League across the years. Suresh Raina is well-known in the IPL due to his aggressive batting style and great fielding abilities. He is the first player in the tournament’s history to score 5,000 runs. Suresh Raina is ranked seventh on this list, completing his IPL Fastest 50 in just 16 deliveries, with seven fours and four sixes. 

On May 30, 2014, CSK will face PBKS at Mumba’s Wankhede Stadium. On that day, Team CSK chased a massive total of 226. Suresh Raina had been sent in at first down when CSK scored one run on one wicket; he began batting aggressively and delivered an incredible effort. He scored 87 runs in just 25 balls, hitting 12 fours and six sixes, and he had just a runout against Punjab. At the end of the match, Chennai was defeated by 24 runs, and Suresh Raina was named Most Valuable Player of the Match.

6. Nicholas Pooran: 15 Balls ( LSG vs RCB in IPL 2017 )

Nicholas Pooran’s ability to hit massive sixes and score quick runs in the middle of the game makes him an excellent value to any team. He made his IPL debut in 2017 when he got signed by the Mumbai Indians franchise, but he wasn’t given several opportunities. He joined Kings XI Punjab in the next IPL season and performed brilliantly. In 2023, he plays for the Lucknow Super Giants and records the IPL Fastest 50 in 15 balls, with three fours and six sixes.

LSG vs RCB on 10 April 2023, at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. On that day, Team LSG was attempting to beat the highest-scoring match in IPL history, which was 2012 runs. Nicholas Pooran’s entry into the middle order came at a time when LSG required quick runs to keep up with the required run pace. N Pooran displayed his power-hitting game and smashed 62 runs off just 19 balls, including four fours and seven sixes. In the end, LSG defeated RCB by one wicket, and Nicholas Pooran was awarded Player of the Match for his Fantastic performance.

5. Sunil Narine: 15 Balls ( KKR vs RCB in IPL 2017 )

Sunil Narine, well-known for his bowling, was a valuable asset to the KKR team. Recognized Narine’s performance in the IPL 2017 was the way he transformed into an explosive opening batsman. Narine’s hard-hitting batting style shocked everyone. Sunil Narine is the fifth player on this list, having created the IPL Fastest 50 in just 15 balls, with 5 fours and 4 sixes.

KKR vs RCB on 7 May 2017, Team KKR was chasing a suitable total of 158 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Sunil Narine is an opening batsman for the KKR team, and this is his first IPL season. Sunil Narine scored 54 runs in 17 balls, including 6 fours with 4 sixes, and his opening partner Chris Lynn also scored 50 runs in 21 balls, including 5 fours with 4 sixes. As a result, KKR defeated RCB by 6 wickets. Sunil Narin received the award for Player of the Match for his extraordinary performance.

4. Yusuf Pathan: 15 Balls ( KKR vs SRH in IPL 2014 )

Yusuf Pathan’s record-breaking innings were described as one of the most explosive and entertaining batting efforts in IPL history. Yusuf Pathan is the first Indian and first IPL player to hit the Fastest 50 and Fastest 100 in the different Sessions of IPL. He got to 50 in just 15 balls, with three fours and five sixes.

KKR vs SRH on 24 May 2014, Team KKR was chasing a sufficient total of 160 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Yusuf Pathan entered the middle order at a time when KKR needed quick runs to stay up with the necessary run rate. Pathan launched an incredible show of power hitting with an undefeated innings of 72 runs off just 22 balls, including 5 fours and 7 sixes, to help Kolkata win by four wickets in this critical encounter. For his incredible effort, he was awarded Player of the Match.

3. Pat Cummins: 14 Balls (KKR vs MI in IPL 2022 )

Pat Cummins is an Australian cricketer who has been considered for his quick bowling and exceptional All-Rounder performances in all formats. He was playing for KKR at the time, and he smashed 50 runs in just 14 balls connecting him with KL Rahul for the fastest 50 in IPL history.

KKR vs MI on 06 April 2022, at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. Pat Cummins walked in as a batsman in the 14th over with the KKR Team having trouble at 101-5 and chasing a goal of 162 runs. He proved his skill and handle by blasting a record-breaking 56 not-out runs off just 15 balls, including four fours and six sixes, which was the greatest performance in his IPL career. In the end, KKR defeated MI by 5 wickets and Pat Cummins was selected as Match Player for his outstanding effort.

2. KL Rahul: 14 Balls ( KXIP vs DD in IPL 2018 )

KL Rahul is well-known for his capacity to hold up entire innings as well as score runs at an acceptably high strike rate. 1. Yashasvi Jaiswal: 13 Balls ( RR vs KKR in IPL 2023 )

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the first Indian batsman to score a half-century in the IPL. Yashasvi Jaiswal is a young and talented Indian cricketer who has created a name for himself in the global sport of cricket, especially in the IPL, in which he now leads the table of fastest IPL 50 in just 13 balls, with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

On May 11, 2023, RR will face KKR at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Rajasthan Royals were chasing 149 runs on that particular day. Yashasvi Jaiswal extended his bat and began with the boundaries from the first over, hitting 12 fours and five sixes and creating 98 unbeaten runs off just 47 balls. As a result, RR defeated KKR by 9 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal was selected Player of the Match for his record innings in the IPL.
